Oh, I'm so excited! I finally have my first filly. I've only ever owned adult horses in my life, so this will be a new experience for me. My friend Stephanie has owned my girl since before she was weaned (about a month old, I do believe) so I've been around this little girl almost her entire life. I've wanted her since I first saw her. I'm finally getting what I want.

Stephanie cut me a deal for her and I'm grateful for this opportunity to give my skills a true test. While I still consider myself fairly novice, Stephanie thinks I'm ready to start this girl next year. If not, she'll be there to nudge me in the right direction. Thank God for good friends. =] It also helps that I know much of her personality.

Of course, I've got a ton of homework to do. I need to research all kinds of training methods, appropriate diets, supplements, etc. I think it will be fun for me.

OH!
Her name is Mya. She's a bay quarter horse (to be) registered with the AQHA (I've got to send in her papers and pay the fee). I'll be posting pictures once I get a few.

Why, hello!

Wow. It's been a very long while since you all have last heard an update from me. Sorry about that, guys. I've been super wrapped up in a lot of things recently with the start of my new full time job, trailing my gelding, spending time with friends, and other such necessary things. I've acquired quite a few watchers recently and would like to throw a big thanks out to everyone. I appreciate your support. It means a lot to me.

But yes, you all caught my biggest bit of news. I have recently purchased a nice grade gelding. We believe him to be saddlebred, but we're not entirely sure. He's around eleven. My friend snapped a few pictures of us together the other week and I threw a collage together of it. I might upload it as my DeviantID to show off. He's a gorgeous guy. So very excited about that. Thanks to Stephanie who is letting me board him at her place.<3

Otherwise, I've really got nothing else to update about. Spiffy Horse is still going and I'm still moderating hardcore there. You can always find me there at account seven. If you join, be sure to look me up and say 'hey'. I'm always overjoyed to see fellow DeviantART members there.

My husband has been in quite the spoiling mood lately. He bought me this subscription last week, which I thought was really sweet. Then a few days ago he not only buys me a tablet, but he buys me a whole new desktop! Oh, he’s such the sweetest guy. I love him to death. He spoils me rotten. ;] Ladies, you need to find one like mine. -nods-

I’m finally kicking back into gear with some of these requests. I’m about half way caught up. Well, I am as long as I don’t get any more mail by the time I wake up, lol. I’m very pleased with some of the stuff I’ve uploaded the past few days. Sakura and Arrsistable taught me a few tricks that have really, really helped. Thanks! I love you guys.

After seventy deviations, my husband has finally decided it might be worth the money to buy me a DA subscription. I’m so excited. Look at all these new features I’ve got access to! I’m having fun playing with CSS and all that jazz, so hang tight while I get it all adjusted. Since this is my first journal entry, it may be a little awkward for you to read. Maybe it won’t be so bad? Blah. We’ll give it a shot.
